Melt pressure transducer and transmitter cables are used to connect a pressure gauge to a display gauge or PLC. Available in standard 12-inch, 25-inch and 50-inch lengths. Material options include optional S / S Armored or braided PVC and Teflon. There are 6-pin bayonets, 6-pin screws and 8-pin screw connectors for direct connection to the melt pressure transducer or transmitter.

Melt Pressure Hole Cleaning Kits
All MPS melt pressure transducers and transmitters have a fragile diaphragm at the end of the sensor. When installing these sensors in an existing hole, care should be taken not to damage this diaphragm from hardened plastic residues. Our melt pressure hole cleaning kits ensure that this hole is cleaned properly. The kits consist of yarn clearer, end cleaner and thread gauge. Available in the following thread sizes: 1/2 ”-20UNF, 5/8” -11NC, 3/4 ”-16UNF, M18x1.5 and M14x1.5 threads.

Melt pressure transmitter / transducer hole punching kits are used in new installations to drill pressure installation. The kits include a reamer, two standard drill bits, bottom tap and a thread. Available in the following thread sizes: 1/2 ”-20UNF, 5/8” -11NC, 3/4 ”-16UNF, M18x1.5 and M14x1.5 threads.

Transducer hole plugs are used to cover old converter holes that are no longer needed. The plug melt pressure sensor is available in most thread types and in 2 ”, 3” and 6 ”lengths.

As an extruder ages, the inner barrel begins to wear and causes the tip to enter the flow of material. MPS melt pressure transducer insert spacers are used to embed the transducer tip from the inner barrel wall. Standard units are made of copper and are available in sizes from 0.020 ”to 0.093”.
